Narconon Arrowhead is an adult drug rehab, meaning the minimum age for enrollment in our program is 18 years old.
Other than that age limitation, individuals come from varied backgrounds and experiences.
We range in age from 18 to 80; individuals hail from all around the world, and run the entire gamut of educational, financial, and career backgrounds.
We find the melting pot to be extremely advantageous in handling the
addiction problem.
Addicts and
alcoholic are generally very selfish and self centered at the height of their addictions. As the new person moves through our program they find addicts helping addicts, which is a very strong force, as nobody knows the condition better than someone who has been there. Gaining the ability and desire to help another is a key point in extroverting the addict once again in preparing them to re-enter home or society.

Rehab programs come in all sorts of flavors and sizes. There is inpatient vs. outpatient, long term vs. short term, drug free vs. drug use, traditional 12 step vs. non-traditional approaches.
Narconon Arrowhead is a long term, drug free, non-tradition, inpatient facility.
We operate from the viewpoint of results obtained and not time spent.
The individual stays until a drug free productive life is obtained.
Average time is 90-120 days, sometimes shorter, sometimes longer. We are drug free and non-traditional in our approach, never considering replacing one drug with another as anything else but foolishness. Many replacement drugs used are more harmful and potentially addictive than the ones they seek to replace. All
rehab programs are not equal, ask questions and insure your loved one is getting what they need to not only get clean, but stay clean.
Drug
abuse begins with a problem, discomfort or some form of emotional or physical pain for which the individual does not have an immediate answer. The person feels that his problem or pain is major, persistent, and without solution or relief.
For these reasons, some people, young or old, male or female, high income or low, begin to use potentially addictive drugs or alcohol in an attempt to relieve the pain or discomfort.
These drugs may even offer temporary relief.
At this point the individual will continue to use in an effort to find continuing relief.
Tolerance for the drug or alcohol sets in requiring larger and larger doses more and more often to obtain the same results. At this point the door has been opened to drug
abuse and it is only a short walk to full blown addiction.
Narconon Arrowhead is a long term, non-traditional, inpatient drug
treatment center.
What this means is that alcoholics or addicts come and reside at Narconon Arrowhead for the duration of their treatment.
This is a self-paced program and is governed by results rather than a set number of days in treatment. A good average is generally 90 -120 days.
Non traditional refers to the fact that we do not treat
addiction or
alcoholism as incurable diseases.
Addiction and
alcoholism can be beaten for a lifetime, and without constant worry about relapse or reversion. We work on the assumption of the basic goodness of the individual and their desire to create a drug and alcohol free lifestyle. Our inpatient drug
treatment center assists the individual to confront, and resolve all life situations needing addressed and so remove the need to run from them with drugs or alcohol.

Rehab Facility?
One can expect a drug free withdrawal with withdrawal symptoms commonly reported to be the lightest and easiest of withdrawals for our participants.
One can expect a full
detoxification of the body using state of the art nutritional, exercise, and sauna technologies.
Most participants report and end to drug cravings at this point.
